Henry Gough Booth was born September 26, 1811 in Cranbrook, Kent, England. He married Harriot Wood March 18, 1836 in East Grinstead, Sussex. They had three children. Harriot died in 1841 and he married Harriet Harman. They emigrated from England May 7, 1844. They settled in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where Henry died February 6, 1876. Descendants and relatives lived in Ontario, Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, Washington D.C. and elsewhere.
