Description
Allan Woodbury Schenck was born 23 October 1861 in Oswego Falls, New York. His parents were Charles Carroll Schenck and Margaret P. Robinson. He married Maud Murneen Delamater (1868-1926) 21 December 1887 in Dayton Tennessee. They had four children. Allan died in 1906 in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Description
The first of the family was Christianus Schenck van Nydeck. He served with his son, Wilhelmus, in the office of bailiff of Count Froizheim in 1260. Wilhelmus married Mechtildis who died in 1271. They had six children. Wilhelmus died before 1292.

Description
Cyrenius Schenck was born 15 July 1828 in Butler, Ohio. His parents were Daniel Schenck and Jane McNealy. He married Mildred Hargis Reeder (1828-1910), daughter of Daniel Reeder and Decinda MacNeil, 30 October 1847 in Rockville, Indiana. They had nine children. He died 6 June 1909 in Preston, Kansas.

Henry Roelof Schenk, son of Alan Woodbury Schenck and Maud Delamater, was born in 1896 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He married Meta Flemming (1898-1977), daughter of August Friedrich Hermann Flemming and Anna Marie Louise Boehlke, in 1924 in San Diego, California. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany, New York, Wisconsin, Tennessee and California.

Johann Friedrich Rüger, son of Johann Heinrich Rüger (b. 1812) and Catharina Elisabeth Hagelganz (b. 1822), was born in 1845 in Kutter, Russia. He married Magdalena Dinges (, 1846), daughter of Johann Adam Dinges (1803-1889) and Catharina Störkel (1804-1885). Their ancestors emigrated from Germany to Russia in 1766 and 1767.

John Tanner and his brother, Benjamin Tanner, arrived at New York from London, England, in 1725. John married Ann Teibout in 1738. They had at least five children, 1739-1747. Their son, Capt. John Tanner, was born in 1741. He married Ann Schenck, daughter of Abraham Schenck. They had seven children, 1775- 1787, born at New York City, Fishkill Landing, and Tappan, New York. He died in 1788. Descendants listed lived in New York, Pennsylvania, and elsewhere.
