Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Dochnahl (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from Austria, Germany, and the Austrian-Netherlands now known as Hesse-Nassau. One ancestor was Mathias Dochnahl, a head gardener at the court of the Prince of Lichtenstein at Miskowitz in Maehren, Austria. Several of his descendants were also gardeners in royal courts' pleasure gardens in that region during the 1700's....

Frank Joseph Schultz was born on 22 October 1893 in Bay City, Michigan, son of Ignatius Schultz and Apolonia Lewicka, both immigrants from Poland. He married Helen Hattie Kaptur, daughter of Nicholas Kaptur and Marcyanna Skibinska, 30 June 1919 in Detroit, Michigan. Helen was born 6 May 1892 in Calumet, Michigan. Frank died 12 May 1946 in Detroit. Helen died 13 September 1969 in Detroit.

Dominic Szulc married Katarzyna Thiem in 1816 (d. 1836)in Rogalinek, Poland. They had six children. He married Helean Lorzynska Jasinska, a widow with a son, in 1837. They had four children. Their son, Francisek or Frank, was born in 1844. Frank married Agnieska Fujara in 1871. They immigrated to America in 1880 and settled in Bay City, Michigan.

Henry F. Burmeister (1843-1920) was born at Doemitz, Mecklenburg, Germany, son of John George (1811-1877) and Anna Maria Groth (1813-1885) Burmeister. They immigrated to St. Louis, Missouri in 1849 and later moved to Iowa. Dorothea Schultz (1845-1942) was born in Neuendorf, Mecklenberg, Germany. She immigrated to Iowa in 1866 where she married Henry Burmeister. Relatives and descendants lived in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, and elsewhere.

Samuel Miller (Mueller), son of Michael Miller and Helen Kletke, was born in 1903 in Korytyszcze, Polish Volhynia. He married Tusnelda Schultz, daughter of Adolph Schultz and Martha Matilda Sagert, in 1926 in Alexufka, Volhynia. They had eight children. They immigrated to Canada in 1927. He died in 1986 in Camrose, Alberta.

Johan Valentine Schultz arrived in Philadlephia in 1731. He married Barbara Meyer and they had one son, Johan Heinrich Schultz. He married Eva Marie Stocker, daughter of Peter Stocker and Anna, 16 October 1735. They had five children. He died in about 1745. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Tennessee and Texas. Includes Kelley and related families.
