Description
William Schweitzer was born in 1865 in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. He married Magdelene Krumenauer in 1891, and died in 1950. Simon Schweitzer was born in Baden, Germany and moved to Zurich, Switzerland. His son, Theodore Schweitzer immigrated to the United States and died in St. Martins, Wisconsin in 1903. Includes Krumenauer and related families.

Nicholas Switzer emigrated from Switzerland or Germany to America in 1761. He and his brothers, John and Valentine, settled in Hampshire County, Virginia in 1770. He married twice and had twenty-one children. Descendants lived in Virginia and elsewhere.

Elizabeth Yancey, daughter of Peter and Mactalina Zehr Yancey, married Christian Martin, son of Andrew and Barbara Martin. Elizabeth was born January 26th, 1847 and died March 11, 1936. Christian was born July 4, 1943 and died in July 1915. They had eight children. The family resided in New York. Ancestors and descendants live mainly in France, New York, Kansas, Virginia, and California.

Anton Schweitzer emigrated from Mothern, Weissenburg, Lower Alsace to Strasburg near the city of Odessa on the Black Sea in Russia in 1809. His grandson, John Schweitzer, and wife, Christina Thomas, immigrated to America in 1893 and settled in North Dakota. Descendants lived in North and South Dakota, Washington, and elsewhere.

Isaac S. Cressman, son of Abraham Cressman (1789-1871) and Mary Schneider, was born in 1830 near Strasburg, Waterloo, Ontario. He married Barbara Schneider (1834-1864), daughter of Jacob E. Schneider and Elizabeth Clemens, in 1854. They had five children. He married Elizabeth Schneider (1840-1910), his first wife's sister, in 1865 and they had eight children. He died in 1894.

Valentine Ratz was born August 12, 1798 in Grebenau, Germany. He married Anna Gertrude Lanz who was born May 2, 1798 in Schweinberg, Germany. They immigrated to Canada in 1828. They settled first in Waterloo, Ontario. In about 1839 they moved to St. Jacobs, Ontario and erected a sawmill. Valentine died December 2, 1870 and Anna Gertrude died July 16, 1872.
