Descendants of Thomas and Ann Scurlock of Richmond County, Virginia, originally from Wales. They had seven children. William, the oldest, was a Baptist preacher. Mial, his brother moved to North Carolina in 1756. He lived in Pittsboro, N.C. and died in 1785. Descendants live mainly in Texas and North Carolina.
