Jacob Floerchinger (1817-1901) immigrated from Germany to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania in 1845, and married Margaretha Scherer in 1846 (he had been to the United States as a laborer earlier). They moved to Oxford, Iowa. Descendants lived in Iowa, Ohio, Montana, Washington and elsewhere.

Peter-Paul Selig, son of Joannes Selig and Joanna Oesterle, was christened 29 June 1792 in Stein, Hohenzollern, Prussia. Peter married Johanna Geiger 30 Jan 1815. They had twelve children and many of their descendants live in Germany.

Joachim Bastjan (died approximately1867) and his family emigrated in 1858 from Germany to Bucks County, Pennsylvania. They moved to Henry County, Illinois in 1861 and to Watertown, Wisconsin in 1862 and later to Appleton, Wisconsin. Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname Baustian) and relatives lived in Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Colorado and elsewhere.

Contains the history of the Teal family of Nova Scotia. Conrad Thiel was born in 1721 in Baden-Durlach, Germany. He married Susannah Catharina Maria Julianna in ca. 1745. The family immigrated to Nova Scotia in 1751 and settled in Lunenburg. He died in 1799 at Petite Rivière, Nova Scotia. Many Teal descendants live along Nova Scotia's South Shore.
