Description
George Hayward (ca. 1739-1799) and his wife, Ann Durley Hayward (ca. 1731-1806) had four children, ca. 1762-ca. 1768. The family emigrated from England and settled at Maugerville, Sunbury County, New Brunswick, in 1779. The moved across the St. John River to Lincoln, Sunbury County, New Brunswick, ca. 1780. George and Ann Hayward died at Lincoln. Descendants lived in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Maine, and elsewhere.

Horace Elsmore Shaw (1876-1960), son of J. Albion & Martha Nixon, was born in Lower Brighton, New Brunswick. He married Alice Maude Flowers, daughter of Gilbert & Sarah Jane Estabrooks. Descendants live in New Brunswick, Washington, Maine, and elsewhere.

Stephen Orsor (1832-1912) was the son of Stephen and Jane McIsaac Orser and grandson of William Blake Orser (1763-1844) who was born in Ossining, New York and died in Hartland, New Brunswick. Lydia McGee (1833-1919) was the daughter of George and Rhoda Shaw. Descendants lived in New Brunswick, Ontario, British Columbia, Washington, and elsewhere.

His grandson, Abraham Shaw, son of Thomas Shaw and Elizabeth Longbotham, was born in 1590/91 in Northowram, Yorkshire. He married Bridget Best, daughter of Henry Best and Grace Boithes, 24 June 1616 in Halifax, Yorkshire. They had eight children. They emigrated in about 1636 and settled in Massachusetts.
