James Claypoole (1634-1687), a Quaker and a son of Sir John Claypoole, married Helena Mercer in 1657, and immigrated in 1683 from England (via Germany) to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname Claypool) and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Idaho and elsewhere.

Christopher Day and his wife, Martha, were baptized at the Pennyback Baptist Church in Pheladelphia County, Pennsylvania, in 1714. They were the parents of at least six children. He died in 1748 and was buried at the Cross Keys Cemetery, Plumstead Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Descendants listed, chiefly those of his son, Mathew Day, lived in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and elsewhere.
