All the Eibs in this country are related. The different branches in this book go back to Wurttemberg Province, Germany in the early 1500s. The earliest known ancestor, Andreas I Eyb, was born 1536 in Waiblingen, and married Anna Volz in Calw ca. 1553. He was a town pastor in Schorndorf from 1574 to 1590. The Eib family members live in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Kansas, Virginia, Iowa, Tennessee and elsewhere.

Peter Tallman (1623-1708) was born at Hamburg, Germany, the son of Peter Talemann/Taelmann (1589-1622) and the great grandson of Michiel Taleman (b. ca. 1520) of Gent, East Flanders, Belguim.
