Alexander Canedy was born in about 1650 in Scotland. He between 1714 - 1718 in Plympton, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts. He married Elizabeth Annable, daughter of John Annable and Anna Whipple. They had seven children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Massachusetts, Vermont, Pennsyvlania, New York, Illinois and Minnesota.

Johan Georg Gannshorn/Goshorn (1725-1806) married Susanna Elisabetha Bückle. They immigrated from Palatinate/Würtenberg and arrived at Port of Philadelphia in 1750.
