He died in 1650 in Stratfield, Farifield, Connecticut. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Philip Groves was born in about 1615 in Babbury, Oxfordshire, England. He married Anna Smith in about 1635. Their daughter, Hannah, married Nathaniel Porter, son of John Porter and Anna White, in 1664. They had four children. She died before 1673 in Stratford, Fairfield, Connecticut. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Connecticut.

John Curtis was baptized 15 September 1577 in Nazeing, Essex, England. He married Elizabeth Hutchins, daughter of John Hutchins and Maria, in 1610. They had three sons, John, William and Thomas. John emigrated in 1635, followed by his parents and two brothers in about 1637. They settled in Roxbury, Massachusetts. He died in 1639 in Wethersfield, Connecticut.
