Thomas Sherwood (1586-1655) and his wife Alice and their family emigrated from England in 1634 and settled in Massachusetts. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Connecticut, New York and California.

George William Kidwell (1791-1860) was born probably in Maryland. His second wife was Sarah Dowell whom he married in 1846 in Washington, D.C. He died in Alexandria, Virginia. Descendants lived in Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C. and elsewhere.

Ancestors, descendants, and relatives of Orestes and Inez Mitchell. Orestes Mitchell (1876-1938) was born at Buena Vista, Indiana, the son of Levi Mitchell (1835-1931) and Sarah Elizabeth Oliphant Mitchell (1855-1940). His family moved to Lakin, Kansas, and in 1888 to St. Joseph, Missouri. He graduated from the Missouri Law School in 1900. He married Inez Samuel in 1902 at St. Joseph. They had four children, 1905-1920. He died at St. Joseph, Missouri....

Edward Jessup left England prior to 1649 and settled first in Connecticut. His wife was Elizabeth. They had three children.
