Jan Willem Eisma/Axmear (1822-1913) was born at Amsterdam, Netherlands. He married Deute de Leeuw (1822-1860) in 1848 and immigrated to the United States that same year. In the United States, he changed the spelling of his surname to Axmear. John and Deute had five children, 1850-1858, born in Cumberland, Maryland, and Preston County, West Virginia. John Kinsey was an early English Quaker who lived in the village of Much Haddam, Herefordshire, England. He immigrated to America aboard the ship "Kent" in the year 1677 and helped to settle the town of Burlington, New Jersey. John married, was the father of four known children and died 14 August 1687.
