Chiefly information on various members of the Short family. Asbury Short was born 16 Sep 1860. He died 12 Jul 1934. He married Anna Cordelia Hall. She was born 24 Mar 1865 and died 8 Aug 1946. Both are buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Christopher Monical (1762-1851) and his wife, Mary (Maryan) were married ca. 1787. They had six children, 1788-1802. He and his brothers, Rev. Peter Monical (1772-1836) and George Monical (b. 1776), were living in Nicholas County, Kentucky, in 1810, and migrated to Indiana a few years later. Christopher died at Salem, Washington County, Indiana. Descendants lived in Indiana, Illinois, California, and elsewhere.

Bernice Ekins was born 26 April 1916 in Slaterville, Weber, Utah. Her parents were Clements Thaddeus Ekins and Estella Octavia Peterson. She married Harry Kirk Creamer (1913-1960), son of Daniel Alfred Creamer and Ida May Marriott, 24 December 1934. They had four children and were divorced in 1952. James W. Baxter (1798-1872) was born in Adair Co., Kentucky. His father was probably James Baxter. He married Nancy Ann Short (1796-1875), the daughter of Elizabeth Short, in Green Co., KY in 1820. They were the parents of five children. They are both buried in Richmond Grove Cemetery in Logan Co., Illinois. Several generations of descendants are given.
