John B. Hutchins was the son of Myron C. Hutchins (b.1909) and Beverly Berhalter (b.1910), both of whom were born at Kendallville, Indiana. He was a descendant of Walter D. Hutchins and Elizabeth Birdsell of Huron Co., Ohio. Later family members were located in Noble and DeKalb Counties in Indiana. Several generations of ancestors are given.
