Description
Johann Ernst Frederich (E. F.) Gehlmann (1827-1898) emigrated from the Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and settled at Springfield, Sangamon County, Illinois, in 1849. He married Mary Catherine Sidener (1829-1865) at Springfield in 1850. They had four children, 1851-1860. He married 2) Martha Jane Gourley (1837-1927) in 1866. They had five children, 1868-1877. Descendants listed lived in Illinois and elsewhere.

Description
Martin Seidner was born at Strusbergh, Germany, in 1733, the son of Christople Seidner. He and his wife, Margaret Mira Schotte, immigrated to America in 1754 and settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. They had fourteen children, 1754-1777. The family migrated to Frederick County, Maryland, ca. 1762, to Berkeley County, Virginia (now West Virginia), in 1791, and to Fayette County, Kentucky, in 1796. He died in Fayette County in 1806. Reuben Ruffner was born in 1748. His parents were Peter Ruffner and Mary Steinman. He married Catherine Dager 10 April 1775 in Virginia. They had eight known children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Missouri and Oklahoma.
