Chiefly minutes of the celebration of family members who are descendants of Matthias Smyser. Includes a list of families present at the celebration. Matthias Schmeisser was born 17 Feb 1715 in Rugelbach, Germany, to Martin Schmeisser and Anna Barbara. He came to America around 1738. He died 12 Apr 1778. He was the father of three sons and six daughters.

Abraham Updegraff was born in Holland. He left in 1561. He had one son, Herman Updegraff who was born in 1585 in Germany. Herman married in 1605 to Grietze Pletges (b. 1588), daughter of Drissen Pletjes and Adelheid Goebels. He died in 1642 while his wife died in 1643, both in Germany. Descendants lived in Germany, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Colorado, and elsewhere.

Wolfgang Koppenheffer was born in about 1685 in Rüblingen, Württemberg, Germany. He married Anna Maria Haffner (?) and they had five children. They emigrated in 1732 and settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Documents the military service of Wolfgang's descendants in the American Revolution. Also includes the family of Johann Jacob Copenhaver, who may or may not be a relative.
