Matthias Schmeisser was born 17 Feb 1715 in Rugelbach, Germany, to Martin Schmeisser and Anna Barbara. He came to America around 1738. He died 12 Apr 1778. He was the father of three sons and six daughters.

Memorial of Eliza (Smyser) Barnitz, daughter of Michael Smyser and Eliza Lanius, and wife of Samuel B. Barnitz, pastor of the Lutheran Mission Church at Wheeling, West Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived in West Virginia and elsewhere.

Abraham Updegraff was born in Holland. He left in 1561. He had one son, Herman Updegraff who was born in 1585 in Germany. Herman married in 1605 to Grietze Pletges (b. 1588), daughter of Drissen Pletjes and Adelheid Goebels. He died in 1642 while his wife died in 1643, both in Germany. Descendants lived in Germany, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Colorado, and elsewhere.

Dieterich Hobbach, son of Tetrach Hoppach and Maria Magdalena, was born about 1729 in Albig, Germany. He immigrated to Pennsylvania about 1742 and settled in York County. He married Anna Barbara Huber, daughter of Conrad Huber and Catherine, about 1755, possibly in York County, Pennsylvania. They had 10 children. No death date is listed for Anna. Dieterich died before 12 Aug 1800 in York County. Their descendants have lived in Pennsylvania,...

Peter Jacoby (d.1761) married Maria Elizabeth Heuer, and in 1741 the family immigrated from the Palatinate of Germany to Philadelphia, settling in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
