Gabriel Ludlow was born 2 November 1663 at Castle Cary, Somerset, England. His parents were Gabriel Ludlow and Martha. He settled in New York in 1694. He married Sarah Hanmer, daughter of Joseph Hanmer and Martha Eddowes, 5 April 1697. They had twelve children. He died in 1763. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in New York.
