George A. Houser was born 1876 in Washington Township, Allen Co., Indiana and is the first child of John A. Houser and Catherine Snider who were early settlers of Washington Township. George married Amilie Elizabeth Rondot 9 June 1879. Amilie died 26 May 1923 and George married Mable (surname unknown). George never had any children but his brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles lived primarily in Indiana and elsewhere.

His son, Thomas A., was born ca. 1838 in Virginia and married Jane Fletcher in 1864 in Polk County. She had emigrated from Ireland ca. 1851. Thomas and Jane's son, William, married Lena Snyder.
