Biography of Warren Stone Snow (1818-1896) who joined the LDS Church in New Hampshire in 1833. He soon joined the Saints in Ohio and soon became one of Joseph Smith's bodyguards. Throughout his life he continued in his physical defence of the church and its leaders often risking his own life. Later he was involved in fighting the Black Hawk War and in preventing Johnson's army from entering Utah.

Lorenzo Snow (1814-1901) was born in Mantua, Ohio to Oliver Snow (1775-1845) and Rosetta Leonora Pettibone (1778-1846). The Snow family resided for several generations in Becket, Massachusetts. Barksdale Snow, born about 1786 perhaps in Greenville District, S.C., died 15 August 1854 in Greenville District. He married Mary Mahaffey (died before 1840) about 1809. There were seven children.

John Francis was born 30 August 1779 in North Cove, Suffolk, England. His parents were Francis Francis and Mary Peck. He married Elizabeth Sapy, daughter of William Sapy and Susannah, 19 February 1799 in Weybread, Suffolk. They had ten children. They emigrated in 1830 and settled in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Heber Charles Gibson was born 27 October 1886 in West Weber, Utah. His parents were Wheatley Gibson and Selena England. He married Mary Amanda Bitton, daughter of Louis Kendle Bitton and Mary Ellen Bingham, 2 December 1908 in Salt Lake City. They had seven children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Vermont, New Hampshire and Utah. Includes Snow and related families.

Pleasant Snow (1844-1891), son of John Henry Snow and Nancy Smalley, was born in Roane County, Tennessee. He married Rebecca Massey (1839-1899), daughter of James S. Massey and Charlotte Snow, in 1864 in Laclede County, Missouri. They has eight children. He also had two children with his sister-in-law, Sarah Ann Massey. He died in Laclede County, Missouri. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Missouri.
