Description
Johann Adam Bauer (later Adam Bower) was born 13 November 1724 in Hottenbach, Rheinland, Germany. His parents were Johann Heinrich Bauer and Maria Elizabeth. He married Maria Catharina Michels, daughter of Johann Conrad Michels, 3 October 1751 in Muelheim Bernkastel, Rheinland, Prussia. They emigrated in 1764 and settled in South Carolina. They moved to Nova Scotia in 1783. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Nova Scotia.

Henry Cobb was born in about 1605-1610 and probably lived in Kent, England. He married Patience Hurst, daughter of James Hurst, in about 1631. They had seven children. He married Sarah Hinckley in 1649 in Barnstable, Massachusetts. They had eight children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

John Snow immigrated during or before 1708, probably from the Isle of Jersey, to Kelly's Island, Newfoundland. Descendants and relatives lived in Newfoundland and elsewhere. Some Snows immigrated from England to Massachusetts in the 1600s, and some descendants became members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and moved to Utah. Other descendants lived in New England, New York and elsewhere.

Joseph Southwick (1809-1849) was a descendant of William and Mary Butler Southwick. His first wife, Mary Ann Martin died in 1846. In 1849, with their four children, his second wife, Mary Walters and her son, George, he immigrated from England, to New Orleans, to Kanesville, Iowa (now Council Bluffs) and then to Salt Lake Valley where he died. John Esplin (1828-1895) joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and left Scotland for Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Margaret Webster in 1853.
