George Soule was born in England in 1590. He came to America on the Mayflower and after his arrival he married Mary Becket. They were the parents of nine children. Information on one line of their descendants through their son John is given in this material. Descendants from this line now live in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and elsewhere.

Jacob Foutz Secrist was born in 1818 in Pennsylvania and married Ann Eliza Logan in 1842. They were converts to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and moved to Illinois and then to Salt Lake City by 1848. They settled in Farmington, Utah. He died in 1855 near Fort Kearney, Nebraska, while returning from a German mission.

William White was born in England where he married Susanna. They were the parents of two children before his death in 1620-21 after they had begun their trip on the Mayflower. After his death Susanna married Edward Winslow. One of his later descendants married John Soule whose ancestors also arrived on the Mayflower. James Sowle (or Soule) was born 25 May 1761 in Dartmouth, Bristol Co., Massachusetts. He was the son of Wesson Sowle and Ruhama Hicks and a descendant of George Soule who came to America abord the Mayflower. He married Patience Macomber 6 December 1789. They moved to Danby, Vermont in 1791 and were the parents of six children. Descendants lived primarily in Vermont, New York, Iowa, Wisconsin and elsewhere.
