Roger Pedrick (ca.1645-1692) married Rebekah Holeman at Radcliffe Friends Meeting in England; both were Quakers. They immigrated in 1675 to Chester County, Pennsylvania, and also bought land in New Jersey. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and elsewhere. Adam Lugar (1738-1837) was born in Frankfurt, Germany. "He joined the Hessian Army and came to America to fight for the British [about 1776] ... he deserted the Hessians [and] joined the Continental Army at Lancaster, Pennsylvania." He married Anna Margaret Clapp in 1777, and in 1779 they settled in Montgomery (now Giles) County, Virginia. Descendants moved to the midwest and the Pacific coast.
