Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Benson families who came to America as early as the 1600s. Some focus is on (but not limited to) descendants of John Benson Sr., a sea-captain who probably came to Newport, Rhode Island, ca. 1690. He married there in 1714. His descendants, and those of other Benson immigrants also lived in Georgia, New England, North Carolina, Texas, and elsewhere.

John Chapple Sparks (1837-1921) was born in Bishop Nympton, Devon, England, son of William T. Sparks and Elizabeth Chapel. He married Georgene Berry in 1857 in England. They came to Utah in 1865. John later married Montree Manoa Hawkins after the death of Georgene. She was the daughter of Amanda Boothe and George Washington Hawkins.
