John Alford (1811-1890) was born in Lincolnshire, England and married Sarah Cooper (1815-1891). Both are buried in Alexandria, Kentucky. John L. Brown (1808-1881) was born in Burlington County, New Jersey and married Elizabeth Wilson in Clermont County, Ohio. They later lived in Kentucky.

Henry Dow (1605-1659) was a descendant of Joseph Dow (d.1561) of Tylner, Norfolk County, England. Henry married widow Joan Nudd (widow of Roger Nudd), and immigrated in 1637 to Watertown, Massachusetts. They moved to Hampton, Massachusetts in 1644.
