Michael Foley (1818-1865) married Julia Barry about 1846, and immigrated between 1846 and 1848 from Ireland to Dutchess County, New York, moving to Joliet, Illinois and then to Morris, Illinois during or before 1857. Descendants lived in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, Washington, California, Arizona and elsewhere.
