William Sprague, a son of Edward Sprague of Upwey, Dorset, England, immigrated with two of his brothers in 1629 to Charlestown and then Hingham, Massachusetts. He was the immigrant ancestor of Seth Sprague (1760-1847).

John Call was christened 6 March 1636 at Faversham, Kent. His parents were Thomas Call (1597-1676) and Bennett Harrison. He married Hannah Kettell 21 January 1656/7. He died 19 April 1697 at Charleston, Massachusetts. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Wales, Massachusetts, Vermont, Ohio, Tennessee and Utah.

Frederick Sprague was born in 1883 at Geneva, Pennsylvania, to Walter Scott Sprague and Clara Moyer. He died in Michigan in 1968. Frederick was married to Zella Craig and in 1948 to Beatrice May Dodd Moore. His father, Walter Sprague, was born 1844 in Rome, New York, and married Helen Burnham and Clara Moyer. Walter served in the Civil War. .

Edward Sprague (d. 1614) was born in Upwey, Dorset, England and was the father of six children. Three of his sons immigrated to America and settled in Salem, Massachusetts. One of the sons, William Sprague (1609-1675), eventually married Millesaint Eames and settled in Hingham, Massachusetts. They were the parents of ten children. Their descendants live in the United States and Alberta, Canada.
