Family tree for Johann Andreas Fries and (1st wife) Anna Catharina Hartmann, (2nd wife) Anna Margaretha Georg, of the Lutheran faith, a farmer from Kanau, Germany; arrived in Oranienbaum 4 July 1766; they arrived in Beideck (also known as Talovka) colony, Russia in 1767. In 1790 they moved to Stahl am Tarlyk colony, Russia.

Description
John Nicholson was born in 1784 in Maryland. He was taken as an infant to North Carolina where he was orphaned and grew up using the name John Jester. He married Mary William in 1803 and over the next 21 years they had at least 8 children. Later they moved to Indiana and then Iowa. This material covers their descendants with each child's descendants found in a different volume. Descendants are found throughout the United States especially in the midwest.
