John Adam Steffen (ca. 1736-1802), a Revolutionary War soldier, was born in Germany or Switzerland and immigrated to America in 1750. He married Agnes Pfrang (ca. 1738-after 1822) in 1757 in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. They had eight children, ca. 1758-1779. He died in Snyder County, Pennsylvania. Descendants listed, especially descendants of his son, Frederick Steffen/Steffy (b. ca. 1762), lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio and elsewhere.
