Cornet Robert Stetson (b. ca. 1615) was born in Modbury, South Devon, England. He married Honour Tucker and they immigrated to Scituate, Massachusetts, where eight children were born.

Richard Thayer (1601-1664) was baptized at Thornbury, Gloucestershire, England. He married Dorothy Mortimer (d. 1640/41) in 1624 at Thornbury. They had eight children, 1624/5-1640. He and his children immigrated to America in 1641, settled first at Boston, moved to Braintree later that year, and back to Boston ca. 1646. He married 2) Jane Parker, a widow at Boston in 1646. Oliver Stetson was born in Massachusetts in 1756. He fought in the Revolutionary War with the Massachusetts' "Minute Men". In 1780 he married Jennet Andersen. They moved to New York where they lived until they died about 1830. Their descendants have compiled this book.

Johannes Ward, parents unknown, was bor 11 Jan 1651 in Croxton, Cambridge, England. He married Susanna, last name and parents unknown, on 9 Nov 1673 in Thorney, Cambridge, England. Johannes descendants have lived in England, Canada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, and other areas in the United States.
