Joseph Abbott was born in Virginia in 1805. He married Keziah Narcessia in Virginia. They had nine children. Keziah was born in Tennessee in 1806. Following their marriage about 1820, the family moved to North Carolina. After various moves, the family then migrated to Missouri from Virginia between 1842 and 1844 and settled in Polk County. Benjamin Bartholomew (1717-1760) was a wheelright in Chester County, Pennsylvania. He appears to have been the father of at least six children. One of his children was Daniel Bartholomew (1740-1779) who married Anna Maria Singmaster. Descendants live in Pennsylvania, Ohio and elsewhere.

John Clement married Mary Angelica Staub, and they had six children (possibly more). They immigrated from Schwobia, Germany to western New York, and at least three of their children came with them. John Henry Clement (1848-1921) was one of the three; he married Pauline Pampel. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, Ohio, Arizona and elsewhere.
