George Stine (1798-1834) was born in York County, Pennsylvania. He married Barbara Dively (1794-1880) in 1820 and they raised their family in Greenfield township, Bedford County, Pennsylvania. She re-married after George's death. Descendants lived chiefly in Pennsylvania, and Ohio, Maryland, New Hampshire, Texas, Michigan, New Mexico, Virginia, Rhode Island, Oklahoma, Kentucky, New York, Florida, and elsewhere.
