Michael Stocker/Stucker (ca. 1700-1749) and his family immigrated (probably from Switzerland) to Philadelphia in 173l. After his death his widow married Johannes Adam Gramlich and they moved to Kentucky. One descendant, Jacob Stucker, "Indian Jake" was one of Daniel Boone's Indian fighters. Descendants lived chiefly in Kentucky and West Virginia, but also in Wisconsin, Indiana and elsewhere.
