Matthias Stauffer/Stouffer, son of Christian Stauffer, was born in Mannheim, Germany in about 1704. He married Anna Oberholtzer, daughter of Jacob Oberholtzer and Deborah Krey, in about 1730 in Salford, Pennsylvania. He died in 1758 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Illinois and Iowa.

Ulli Stouffer was born in about 1418. Descendant, Frederick Stauffer, son of Christian Stauffer (1823-1901), was born 19 April 1861 in Eggiwil, Switzerland. He married Lessie Rebecca Duer (1876-1945), daughter of John Duer and Caroline Kuhn, in 1897 in Adams County, Indiana. They had thirteen children. He died in 1939 in Monroe, Indiana. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Switzerland and Indiana.

The Stauffer/Stouffer/Stover families originally of Eggiwil and Steffisburg, Switzerland and Ibersheim, Germany and elsewhere. Members of this family were Mennonites or Anabaptists. Many descend from Christian Stauffer born ca. 1579 in Eggiwil, Canton Bern, Switzerland. After immigrating to America family members settled in Lancaster and Lebanon Counties and elsewhere in Pennsylvania, in Virginia, Maryland and New York, etc.

Gerrit Hendricks was born ca. 1649 in Germany and arrived in Philadelphia in 1685. He later died ca. 1691 in Germantown, Pennsylvania. One descendant, Charles Rosenberry Hendricks was born in 1859 in Whiteside County, Illinois. He married in 1883 in Mitchell County, Kansas Emma Marzolf (1861-1931). Her ancestry is traced to Wendel Marzolf, born in 1754 in Alsace. .

Christopher Riffe was born in 1764 of German parents on the disputed border of Maryland and Pennsylvania. His family migrated to Virginia and there he married Mary Agnes Spears 9 May 1783. Later, he married a second time to Elizabeth Coffee in 1806. Christopher was the father of ten children. Descendants lived primarily in Kentucky, Virginia, Missouri and elsewhere.

John Hess (1685-1733) possibly was born at Wald (Zurich), Switzerland. He emigrated to Pennsylvania and settled in Conestoga Twp., Lancaster Co. before 1718. He is referred to in the records as "Hans" Hess. He married Magdalena "Mandlin" about 1705. They were buried in the Hess Cemetery near Baumgardner Station. They were the parents of eleven children. Several generations of descendants are given.

George Edward Cahoon (1877-1960) married Anna Louise Alder in 1900 and immigrated from Manti, Utah to Cardston, Alberta, Canada; both were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Descendants lived in Alberta and elsewhere. Some descendants immigrated to Utah, Nevada, Missouri and elsewhere in the United States.

Peter Reesor/Rieser (1713-1804), his wife, Elizabeth Hershey, and two children (along with four other Reesor families), immigrated from Switzerland to Rotterdam and then to America in 1739. Eight more children were born in Pennsylvania, but in 1804, many of them went to Canada. Descendants and relatives live in both countries.

Four Isenberg brothers emigrated from Germany to Frederick County, Maryland before 1761. Apparently the name of one of them was John Henry Isenberg, who served during the Revolutionary War as a hospital attendant and then a chaplain. His sons moved to Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania in 1802. Descendants and relatives of John Henry Isenberg lived in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Michigan, Colorado, California and elsewhere.
