David Fisk Stout, son of Allen and Amanda Stout, was a polygamist with wives: Rettie, Mary Jane, Julia, and Sarah. He and his wives and their families moved from Rockville and St. George, Utah to the Colonies of Old Mexico in 1887. Many of the colonists returned to the United States due to the Mexican Civil War (1911-1920).
