Nicholas Stowers (ca.1600-1646) and his family emigrated from England to Salem, Massachusetts in 1628, settling at Charlestown, Massachusetts in 1629, and later moving to Malden, Massachusetts. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Missouri, California and elsewhere. Includes ancestry and some family history in England. Jessie Moore, son of John Moore and Judith Walker, was born 11 April 1743 in Virginia. He married Alley Johnson (1745-1826), daughter of John Johnson and Molly Stowers. They had eleven children. They settled in Globe Valley, North Carolina in 1779. Includes Coffey, Coker, Walker and related families.

Jeremiah Willison (ca 1735-1811) married Sarah Death about 1755/6 in Lancaster county, Virginia. He was a 1st. Lieutenant in the Revolutionary War. Descendants lived in Maryland, Ohio, Iowa, Arizona and elsewhere.

Lulu Marie Bays was born February 15, 1927 in Putnam, West Virginia. Her parents were Crosby Clarence Bays (1905-1967) and Nellie Johnson (1909-1938). She married Hartford Sayre April 7, 1944 in Dunbar, Kanawha, West Virginia. Traces her ancestors and relatives in West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Iowa, North Carolina, Florida and elsewhere.

James McMurtry (d. 1771 or 2) moved to Bedford County, Virginia by 1754. He was married twice, first to Nancy Todd, and second to Hannah Todd. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Kentucky and elsewhere.

Thomas Bays was born in Maryland 3 September 1798. His parents were John Franklin Bays and Mary Ann Knight. He married Nancy Ann Linigar (1800-1876), daughter of Isaac Linigar and Rebecca, in about 1818. They had fifteen children. Thomas died in 1886 in Niles, Michigan. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in West Virginia, Michigan, Indiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, California and Oregon.

Phillip Huggins was born in North Carolina about 1765. He married twice, to Jane and later to Elizabeth English. He was the father of over 20 children. The family later moved to Arkansas.
