During the years 1709-1754, at least nine individuals surnamed Rohrbach/Rohrbaugh etc. emigrated from Switzerland, Germany and the Palatinate to the American Colonies. More than one hundred additional family members emigrated from Austria, Alsace, Bavaria and elsewhere between 1825 and 1900. Descendants live throughout the United States.

Stephen Cole married Elizabeth ca. 1723 in Culpepper, Virginia. Their son, John Cole, was born in Chester Pennsylvania. He married Susanna in 1723 and later died in Culpepper, Virginia. Descendants lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, Washington, and elsewhere.

Casper Stratter (Strade) was born before 1710 in Germany. He died in 1778 in Alsace, Berks County, Pennsylvania. He had two sons, Johan Heinrich Stradter who lived in Berks County and Conrad Strader who died in 1809 in Caswell, North Carolina. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Missouri, Washington, and elsewhere. Many went by the surname "Strader".

Michael Fiedler was born 18 November 1872 in Perham, Otter Tail Co., Minnesota. He was the son of Martin Fiedler and Margaret Depish. Michael married Gertrude Maria Altstadt 5 May 1896 in St. Jo's Church near Perham, Minnesota. They were the parents of eleven children. Michael died 10 December 1943 in Perham, Minnesota. Descendants lived primarily in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan.

William Cook (b.ca.1798-1891) married Rachel Shaver (b.ca.1802-1880) about the year 1831, after emigrating from Ireland about 1829. He settled in Matilda Township, Dundas County, Eastern Ontario. Their descendants lived mostly in Ontario, Candada.

Ancestry is traced to the following individuals: James Allen (1737- 1835), born in County Down, Northern Ireland, immigrated to Pennsylvania and later Ohio; Charles W. Nelson (1864-1939), born in Morlunda, Sweden, died in Kane, Pennsylvania; Henry James Sharp (1804-1860) of Ohio; Chirstopher Strader (1745-1825) of Ohio; as well as other ancestors. Ancestral families lived primarily in Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and England.

Joseph Strader (1812-1855) was born in Ohio and married Nancy Banfield. They moved to Morgan County, Indiana about 1841, and moved to land near Greenup, Illinois in 1853. Descendants lived in Indiana, Illinois, Arkansas, and elsewhere.

Jesse McPherson was born 15 February 1765 in Virginia. He married Nancy Ann Ash 4 September 1788 in Frederick County, Virginia. They had nine children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio and Illinois. Includes Baugh, Corley, DeCourcy, Strader, Wilcox and related families.
