Henry Strange was born in about 1685 in New Kent County, Virginia. His parents were Alexander and Anne Strange. He married Mary Liptrot in about 1724. They had six children. Henry died in 1746. His brother, Robert, was born in 1707. He had four children. He died in about 1765 in Rowan County, North Carolina. Traces the descendants of Henry and Robert in Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas and elsewhere.

William Freeman (b. 1678) and his wife, Elizabeth, moved to Colleton Co., S.C. in 1711 with their six children. William was the son of Henry Freeman, Jr. and his wife Martha and the grandson of Henry Freeman, the immigrant, and his wife, Alice, both of York Co., Va. Henry Freeman came to Virginia with his brother William ca. 1635.

William C. Cornwell, Sr., was born in 1768 in Virginia. Mary F. Swan was born in 1775 in Maryland. They were married in 1794. They had ten children, 1795-1819. The family was living in Maryland in 1795; in Virginia, in 1802; in Jefferson County, Kentucky, in 1807; and migrated to Orange County, Indiana, ca. 1821. He died there in 1845. Descendants lived in Indiana and elsewhere.

Daniel Highsmith was in Bertie County, North Carolina in 1744. He married Ann Beck of Norfolk County, Virginia. His son, Thomas, eventually settled in Crawford County, Illinois. One descendant, Sarah Highsmith (1811-1896), married David Young Allison (1808-1881). Several descendants later migrated to Indian Territory and some moved on to Oregon. Descendants lived in Oklahoma, Kansas, Oregon, Missouri, Illinois, and elsewhere.
