John Mansfield, son of Joseph Mansfield and Rebecca Vernon, was born in about 1799 in Etwall, Derbyshire, England. He married Annis Bates, daughter of Thomas Bates and Sarah Metcalf in 1822 in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, England. Some of their descendants settled in Utah.

John Cavenett (d.1844) married Eliza Sluman in 1828, and in 1840 the family immigrated from England to Willunga, South Australia (Eliza died at sea). John married Eliza Waer in 1841. Descendants lived in South Australia, Victoria and elsewhere.

James Tuttle, Sr. was born about 1738 in New York. He married Rebecca Washburn in about 1758. They had six known children. The moved to Virginia in about 1772 and then to Georgia in 1787.
