Bailey Hayes was born in 1777, probably in Georgia. He married Mary Stubbs in 1802. They migrated from Georgia to Ohio and settled in Belmont County in 1802. They had seventeen children, 1804-1830. He died at age 68. He and his wife are buried at Quaker City, Guernsey County, Ohio. Descendants listed lived Ohio, Kansas, and elsewhere.
