Bailey Hayes was born in 1777, probably in Georgia. He married Mary Stubbs in 1802. They migrated from Georgia to Ohio and settled in Belmont County in 1802. They had seventeen children, 1804-1830. Asa Warnell (1796-1869), son of William Warnell, moved from Beaufort District, South Carolina to Liberty County, Georgia about 1800, served in the War of 1812, and married Lauranna Smart in 1818.
