(George) Peter Getz (1803-1873) was born in Bonfeld-Wurtemburg, Germany. He married Eva Katherine Kres (1802-1867), daughter of Johann Gottlob and Johanna Elizabeth Strasner Kres, in 1829. They had six children, 1830-1859. The five oldest children immigrated to the United States, 1854-1859, and settled in Illinois. Frederick William Beitzel, Sr. was born 9 December 1825 near Diedenshausen, Prussia. His parents were Johannes Beitzel, Sr. and Catharina Elizabeth Weiler. He emigrated in 1852. He married his second wife, Elizabeth Bull, widow of Edward Sharp and mother of one daughter, 25 November 1809 in Ewhurst, Sussex. They had three sons, John, Edmund and Samuel. George Karch was born in Germany in 1827. He came to America in 1852 with Walburga and Theresia Riedl. They settled in Ohio where he married Walburga Riedl. They had ten children and George worked as both a farmer and a carpenter. Information on their German ancestry, as well as their descendants is given in this volume. Descendants now live in Ohio, Florida, Kentucky and elsewhere.
