Jacob C. Stutzman was a descendant of John Jacob Stutzman (1706- ) who immigrated to America in 1727 from the Palatinate. Jacob (1836-1895) married Anna Bontrager in 1861. Descendants of their seven surviving children lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Michigan, Ohio, California, Oregon and other states as well as in Canada, Peru and elsewhere.
