Phillip Huggins was born in North Carolina about 1765. He married twice, to Jane and later to Elizabeth English. He was the father of over 20 children. The family later moved to Arkansas. Information on many of his descendants as well as his ancestry is given in this volume. Traces descendants through their son, Hans Heinrich Brinker (1722-1772) and his wife Anna Catharina Kruetzberger. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, Mississippi, Tennessee and Missouri.

Joseph Angus Grindle married Sophia Haller and moved from Pickaway County, Ohio to Macon County, Illinois about 1863.
