Henry Carlos Summers was born in Utah in 1859. His family were early members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Sarah Cynthia Stone and they were the parents of twelve children. Information on their ancestral lines, their lives, and those of their children is included in this volume. Their descendants continue to live in Utah, and elsewhere.

The name Bagley (Baggiley) originated in England. The name was prevalent throughout several counties, but it is assummed that the Bagleys came to America from Ipswich. Orlando, son of Jonathan Bagley, an ancestor was found living in Boston in 1658. William Henry Bagley was born 8 October 1841 in North Hampton, Carlton county, New Brunswick, Canada. The family heard the gospel there. The family left for Utah on 21 May 1855.

William Morris is supposed to have come from England about 1740. He first spent some time in Philadelphia, before going to Virginia where he married Elizabeth Stepps. They remained in Culpepper County Virginia until 1744 when they moved into what is now West Virginia. Many of the descendants of this branch of the Morris family still remain in West Virginia.

Michael Fox and Elizabeth Summers were married in Pennsylvania between 1852-1855. After Michael's death in 1876 Elizabeth moved her family to Nebraska to live near her extended family. Their descendants are the subject of this book. One third of these descendants come through their oldest daughter Margaret Fox Phillips.

Penelope VanPrincis (1622-1732) arrived at Gravesend, Long Island from Amsterdam, Holland and was captured by an Indian tribe, but was later released. In 1644, she was married to Richard Stout (1615-1705) and they moved to Monmouth, New Jersey. Descendants lived also in Massachusetts, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and elsewhere.
