Family history of the Michael family originally from southeast Germany. Many family members immigrated to Pennsylvania and settled there first. Many later on migrated to Frederick and Middletown, Maryland, and were the first settlers of this area. The name Bagley (Baggiley) originated in England. The name was prevalent throughout several counties, but it is assummed that the Bagleys came to America from Ipswich. Orlando, son of Jonathan Bagley, an ancestor was found living in Boston in 1658. William Henry Bagley was born 8 October 1841 in North Hampton, Carlton county, New Brunswick, Canada. The family heard the gospel there. The family left for Utah on 21 May 1855.

William Morris is supposed to have come from England about 1740. He first spent some time in Philadelphia, before going to Virginia where he married Elizabeth Stepps. They remained in Culpepper County Virginia until 1744 when they moved into what is now West Virginia. Many of the descendants of this branch of the Morris family still remain in West Virginia.

Michael Fox and Elizabeth Summers were married in Pennsylvania between 1852-1855. After Michael's death in 1876 Elizabeth moved her family to Nebraska to live near her extended family. Their descendants are the subject of this book. One third of these descendants come through their oldest daughter Margaret Fox Phillips.

Peter Nicholas Sommer immigrated from West Hamburg, Germany to Schoharie County, New York in 1742/1743. He married Marie Kayser in 1744. Descendants lived throughout the United States.

John James Summers was born July 18, 1840. He married Elizabeth Jane Trabue (1841-1912) October 22, 1859. They had ten children. John died January 29, 1898 in Laddonia, Missouri. Descendants and relatives lived in Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado and elsewhere.

Wyllyam Gardynyr (1450-1495) was born in Midlands, Oxfordshire and died in Surrey, England. He married Helen Tudor in 1485. Descendants Richard and Luke Gardiner settled in Maryland in the early 17th century. Their descendants lived in Maryland, Kentucky, Virginia, and elsewhere.
