Rev. William Davis (d.1745) immigrated from Wales to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1684. He married twice and died at Shrewsbury, New Jersey. His grandson, Thomas William Davis (1719-1791), married Tacy Crandall in Westerly, Rhode Island and led a group of Seventh Day Baptists to seek a location for colonization in what became Salem, Virginia (later West Virginia). Descendants lived in West Virginia, Kentucky, New York, New Jersey and elsewhere.

Jacob Moore, son of Jeremiah Moore and Mary Wildman, was born in 1768 in Sadsbury Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He married Rachel Wildman, daughter of Joseph Wildman, in 1792 in Loudoun County, Virginia. They had ten children. He died in 1846 in Welland County, Ontario.
