William Rufus Sutton (1851-1910), the son of William Sutton and Elizabeth Daughtry of Piney Grove Twp., Sampson Co., N.C., married Cassie Andrews (1854-1946) also of Piney Grove in 1872. She was the daughter of Alfred and Mary Jane Weeks Andrews. Descendants live mainly in North Carolina.

William Willie (1764-1845), son of John Willie and Amy Clark, was born in Yarcombe, Devon, England. He married Mary Sutton, daughter of Daniel Sutton and Elizabeth Booby, in 1804. They had eight children.

Description
William Mattingly was born in Cumberland, Maryland, the son of Henry Mattingly. He married Sara Mathis in 1774 and migrated to Ohio a short time later. They stayed in Newcomerstown, Ohio, about one year and then moved southwest to Mattingly settlement, ten miles from Zanesville, Ohio. They had five children. He died in 1857. Descendants lived in Ohio, Indiana, and elsewhere.
Includes some descendants of William's brother's, John and Samuel.
