Biographical sketch of Elenor Broome (1798-1895), who married Ephraim Swann in 1852 in Tenbury, England. One of her sons, and descendants of the other son, became converts to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and immigrated to Utah.

Thomas Kilgore Sr. was born ca. 1712 and lived in Orange Co., North Carolina. In the Orange County Court minutes of 1764, Thomas was recorded working with others on road duty. He married Lydia (surname unknown) sometime prior to 1759 in North Carolina. By the year 1789 they moved to Robertson Co., Tennessee. They were the parents of four known children. John Henry Swann was born July 6, 1868 in Cookstown, Ontario, Canada. He married Ellen Andrews (1868-1947) August 21, 1890 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. They had five children. In 1903 they moved to California and settled in the town of Chico. John died in 1949 in Pasadena, California. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived in England, Ontario, Massachusetts, New York, California and elsewhere.

Jacob Peters, Sr. was born in Germany in 1744. He emigrated to the U.S. in 1762. He married Annie (last name unknown) ca. 1768. They settled in Virginia. This book deals with the descendants of 3 of their sons.
