Samuel and Sarah Clayton of Harpley, Stalybridge, Lancshire, England, had nine children, 1805-1829. Several of their children immigrated to the United States. Their son, Issac Clayton (1819-1869), married Harriet Lucas (1821-1905), in 1841, and immigrated to New York, just before or after their marriage. They settled at Newburgh, New York. David N. Holman was born in 1830 in North Carolina. His parents were Samuel Holman (1800-1875) and Elizabeth Jones . He married Malissa Adaline Atkins in 1874 in Missouri. She was the daughter of Parker Atkins (1809-1890) and Charlotte Shockley (1812-1875). David and Malissa had five children. Traces ancestors, descendants and relatives in Virginia, North Carolina, Missouri, Ohio and elsewhere.
