Samuel and Sarah Clayton of Harpley, Stalybridge, Lancshire, England, had nine children, 1805-1829. Several of their children immigrated to the United States. Jesse Woolliscroft (b.1783/1795) married Elizabeth Bentley, and the family immigrated from England to Janesville, Wisconsin during and before 1858, later moving to Britt, Iowa. Descendants lived in Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Washington, California and elsewhere. Includes ancestors and some of their progeny in England.

John Biggs I emigrated from England to New York in 1664, in the expedition against New Amsterdam, and later settled in Marbleton, near Kingston, New York. He married Mary Hall and died after 1687. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Colorado and elsewhere.

Benjamin Schoonover was born 14 February 1745 in Montague County, New Jersey. His parents were Thomas Schoonover and Maria Westfall. He served in the American Revolution.
