Daniel Swasey (1801-1884) was born at Flemington, New Jersey, the son of German immigrants. He married Sarah Smith (d. 1871) in 1823. They had six children, 1823-1843. The family migrated to Carroll County, Ohio, in 1830. Daniel and Sarah are buried in the Levittsville Methodist Church cemetery.
