George Tarry was born 12 June 1748 in Amelia County, Virginia. He married Sarah Taylor 7 December 1790 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. She was born 5 March 1766 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. They had three children. George died in 1816 in Ivy Hill, Mecklenburg County, Virginia. Sarah died between 1824 and 1830 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. Decendants lived mainly in Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina and Kentucky.

Thomas Toogood (1803-1859) was born in Sicily, son of Elias Toogood. Toogood ancestry is traced to Thomas Togood and Joan Shutter who were married in 1701 in Motcombe, Dorset, England. Thomas married Edith Purchase (1811-1893) in Puddletown, Dorset, England in 1836. They later immigrated to Australia. Descendants lived in Australia, and elsewhere.
